Dashboard is a great addition to Tiger. Unfortunately it takes several seconds to load and refresh the widgets the first time you bring up Dashboard.
I've written a small application that brings up Dashboard and closes it right away: DashboardStarter (24K). Drag the app to your login items¹ and have Dashboard load the widgets in the background.

For anyone interested in high quality CD audio rips I've put together a OS X installation package (154K) for the great cdparanoia command line tool which was built from Tobias Sargeant's little known port.
Ripping songs from a disk is straight forward. To extract an entire disc, putting each track in a separate AIFF file, open Terminal and type: /usr/local/bin/cdparanoia -Bf
Consult the manual for more options. If you have problems with copy protected disks try a different CD-ROM drive.
I'm running this binary with Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) but it should work with 10.3 (Panther) as well. However, I am not the developer of this software. The package is provided as is, without any warranty.

You can find the FlashWriter Toolkit and the Creative Gamepad Cobra driver in the Old Stuff section. Development however has stopped and you should better look for something else.
Bronson Beta is the smaller one of the Bronson Bodies. Two alien planets hurtling towards earth. if you're interested in end-of-the-world stories you should read the 1932 novel When Worlds Collide by Philip Wylie and Edwin Balmer.
